Working as a part-time editor for JLENS Photography was my first real dive into professional event editing. Handling weddings and debut celebrations taught me the most important rule of the craft: Music is the heartbeat of a video. I learned to match clips with the subtle shifts in emotion, creating sequences that felt alive rather than just assembled.

The Pressure of Competition: DSPC & TV Broadcasting

Serving as a Technical Director and Video Editor during press conferences was a different beast. These competitions at the DSPC forced me to work under extreme pressure. Winning 3rd Best Technical for two consecutive years wasn’t just about the trophy; it was about learning to manage time efficiently and ensuring production quality never dipped when the clock was ticking.

Editing with Purpose

Beyond the professional and competitive world, my most meaningful edits have been for my church. Using visuals to communicate messages of faith and community reminded me that video editing is one of the most powerful ways to reach people’s hearts.
