Behind the Design: School Organizations
Logos are not just images; they carry identity, meaning, and purpose. In high school, I moved from experimenting with tools to understanding the weight of representing an organization.
During my time at Doña Juana Chioco National High School (DJCNHS), I was given the opportunity to design for groups like the SSLG and YES-O. It felt like a dream to be trusted with official branding, but it also brought a new level of seriousness to my work.
The “Legacy” Project: DJCNHS Logo Restoration
One of my most memorable projects wasn’t a new design, but a restoration. I noticed the school logo used on posters was pixelated and low quality. Instead of ignoring it, I took it upon myself to recreate it from scratch.
I carefully studied the original design and worked on a clean, high-resolution version. Today, that version is still the standard used by the school. Knowing my work remains part of the school’s identity is what I consider my personal legacy.
“Design is not just about creativity—it is also about responsibility.”
Through these experiences, I realized that every logo represents a message. Being part of that process is an honor and a constant motivation to keep improving my craft.
